eady to get back on the field and play some more lacrosse? We’ve got an exciting update—our upcoming practices will be held on turf and under the lights at the UWSP campus! Huge thanks to UWSP for making this opportunity possible. We’ve been working closely with Stevens Point Parks and the UWSP athletic program to secure field space, especially one with lighting.

A special shoutout to Jim Mendyke, a true champion of Stevens Point area lacrosse. Jim has been instrumental in helping us navigate the documentation and logistics to make this happen. Thank you, Jim, for your continued support of the lacrosse community!

Practice Details:

• Time: Tuesdays, 6:40–9:00 PM

This Tuesday’s practice will be led by TJ Phillis, as Trevor is off enjoying a well-deserved (and slightly delayed) honeymoon in Hawaii!

What to Bring & Expect:

• Arrive by 6:40 PM to help set up equipment, stretch, and gear up.
• All players are expected to help pack up equipment after practice.
• Practices will be held rain or shine—unless weather conditions require a temporary stop, which coaches will manage.
• Bring water, pads, sticks, mouthguard, cleats, and any other gear you need.
• Helmets will be provided for those who need them.
• Jerseys will be distributed this week or next—definitely before the first tournament!

Transportation:

If you’re having trouble getting to Stevens Point or back to Wausau after practice, we’ll coordinate through the team app. If needed, I’m happy to help with rides to or from Wausau.

Parent Info:

There won’t be a formal parent meeting, but some of us will be around at the start of practice to answer questions. Feel free to chat with us then—or join us for continued conversation at Partners or D1 during practice.
