CWS Summer Weekly Update – June 30, 2025 Weekend Recap:
While I haven't had the chance to hear much from players or families this past weekend, from what I did hear, it may not have been the best weekend on the field for the 14U team. Remember, every game is a valuable learning experience and an opportunity to grow. Keep your spirits high, stay positive, and enjoy the journey. Great things are ahead!
Practice Update:Practice start time for all practices is at 6:00 pm. This allows all players to arrive on time and be ready for the start of practice. Monday and Thursday- Goerke 6-8 pm. Tuesday - DCE 6-8 pm. Per email from coach TJ, this week:Tuesday 7/1- Tuesday: 4:00-8:00 pm Special team building.River's Edge Campground 3266 Campsite Dr. Stevens Point. We will have an informal team building afternoon at the pond at River's Edge. It is half price day. $7.50 per person. The snack shack will be open with options for food and drink. Or you can bring your own stuff. Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy the afternoon as well.Thursday 7/3: No practice! Have a safe and happy 4th of July! Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
Thanks! TJ 715-570-7237 Reminder:Players should help set up and clean up at every practice. Our coaches are volunteers—let’s support them!
Inclement Weather:Is practice still on?!? It's challenging to provide advance notice if practice needs to be canceled. Coaches will do what they can to notify us if weather conditions change, but conflicting forecasts from different weather apps make it hard to guarantee any advance notice, be prepared that practice will go on! With our limited number of practices, we aim to continue even in the rain—unless there's lightning or severe weather. In such cases, coaches will clear everyone from the field and seek shelter under the stands (not the metal bleachers) or other safe spaces. They know the safety protocols for resuming practice if it's suspended due to weather.
Next Tournament: Pipe City (HS) – July 11–13 Schedule:The communication being shared by tournament officials is that hopefully by 7/4 they will have a draft schedule. From what I have seen, it does not look like we are slotted to play Friday evening (remember nothing is for sure until the days before). Once we know more, we will be sure to pass things along. Waivers:This is the second Lacrosse America tournament this year, if you completed a Waiver for LAXconsin, the waiver is good for one year including this tournament and Madison Classic.Any players needing a waiver, parents will have this email from Lacrosse America shortly. I think everyone is good! Hotel Info:Currently, all blocked room deadlines have expired. The tournament does partner with Team Travel Source and should you need assistance still, you may reach out for help.TEAM TRAVEL SOURCE

I haven't purchased tickets yet, so if anyone wants to take the lead, please post in the chat which section you're getting tickets for. There are two nights available, Friday and Saturday, and you can attend both if you'd like. General admission tickets were around $40 each the last time I checked.
