CWS Newsletter Update 10.19.2026

Subject: Fall Season Wrap-Up & CWS Transition

What a way to finish the fall season! A huge congratulations to Central Wisconsin Select on an outstanding weekend and a well-earned division championship at Top Cheddar! Your hard work, teamwork, and determination were on full display. While watching my son and several other alumni compete at the Mad City Lacrosse Tournament in Madison, I was proudly following CWS and celebrating your success. Coaches and players, you should be incredibly proud of what you accomplished—this was a fantastic win and a memorable finish to the season!

Central Wisconsin Select is special. As an alumni parent, it is time for me to pass the baton. Effective October 20, I will step away from overseeing the CWS program so others can lead its next chapter. I will remain available to help when asked while giving the program’s new leaders room to take the initiative. Matt and Wendy Kovalaske will also be stepping away as their son, Noah, has aged out of the program. We are grateful for their time, commitment, and support.

Thank You

Thank you to our incredible summer and fall coaches, our supportive parents, and—most importantly—our players. You supported one another at practice, respected your teammates and facilities, and represented CWS exceptionally well at every tournament. This weekend’s championship was a fitting reward for the effort and commitment you showed throughout the season.

I am incredibly proud of this team, this program, and everyone who made the season a success. Congratulations again on an outstanding weekend and your Top Cheddar division championship! I wish nothing but the best for CWS and look forward to cheering on the program’s continued success.

Scott Winn
